waiting list & prices.

Available chicks will be listed on Facebook and Instagram each week, usually at the end of the week. I don't keep a wait-list for straight run chicks, I just offer them online for local pickup as I see what hatches.

Hatching egg waitlists are FULL. Any extra eggs will be advertised on my Instagram and Facebook farm pages. @greengrables

To get on a waitlist:

1. Contact me to be placed on temporary waitlist.

(Facebook, Instagram @greengrables, email mimosagrace@gmail.com.)

2. Name will be moved to official waitlist when non-refundable deposit (half of total price) is received AND agreement is signed.

3. You will be contacted within 1-2 weeks when we get close to your egg or bird date. Birds usually start laying sometime in March, although sometimes Watermaal and the lavender cuckoo bantam Ameraucana get going in February. I will do my hatches first, then work through the wait-list.

*Payment: We accept Venmo (@Heidi-Grable-1) and Paypal (mimosagrace@gmail.com friends and family - add 15% of the total to cover the Paypal charge and taxes if not paying via friends and family).

***WHY ARE THERE NO GIRL WAITLISTS? Good question. I'm a hobby breeder, so I mostly hatch what I want for myself. I don't really hatch all year or in huge numbers. This year I will probably hatch fewer d'Uccle than usual, since I'm working on several projects. When I have them, I list them on Facebook and Instagram, and they often sell within minutes. So it takes a bit of luck and timing to get them. I don't keep waitlists for girls because I don't know if I will have any available. The best chance for girls is to get eggs or straight run chicks.

***We highly suggest vaccinating babies for Marek's on the day they are removed from the incubator, then keeping them biosecure for a minimum of two weeks.

❇️ All birds are raised on a clean, healthy NPIP/AI tested farm in Raleigh, NC. We are a hobby farm, not a hatchery, so eggs and birds are not available year round. Egg and chick season usually runs from March/April until the end of June/July. It really depends on the hens. We do not use artificial light and heat to stimulate our birds to produce early. All babies are vaccinated for Marek's, hand raised, and fed Kalmbach non-medicated chick starter with Fertrell Nutri-balancer. Older juveniles and adults are fed the same, with the addition of Fertrell Poultry Show and Breeder Supplement, calcium, and grit.

We breed for three reasons: health, personality, and adherence to the breed standard as defined by the ABA and APA.
